I was stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming in January of 1951 for a period of three months. I was completing a period of basic training and other duties there.
Interestingly, I was raised in Alabama where there was hardly ever any snow. Those three months in Wyoming, there was snow on the ground the entire time.
While there I visited a friend's ranch which consisted of over two thousand
acres in which his cattle had full range along with about ten buffalo. It reminded me of the age when the buffalo had free range of all those lands.
