On "FRISCO"

October 28, 2016

There was a cool, swift breeze, somewhat overcast sky, and heavy swells on the Pacific ocean as I and 4000 other guys clung to the rail of the troop ship USS Walker as it sailed beneath the Golden Gate Bridge and out into the next 2 years.  There, looking back, pasted against the horizon, was the gradual disappearance of San Francisco and the 19 years of growing up in Alabama.  This painting, hopefully, reflects those moments of parting.
